Quick Setup

Once Cross Bot has been added to your Discord server, use this guide to get the basic features configured and ready to use.

1. Check Cross Bot's Permissions

Recommended Server Permissions

Cross Bot should have the permissions required for the features you plan to use. Common permissions include:

• View Channels

• Send Messages

• Read Message History

• Embed Links

• Attach Files

• Manage Messages

• Manage Webhooks

• Moderate Members

• Kick Members

• Ban Members

• Manage Nicknames

Administrator Is Not Required

Cross Bot does not need the Administrator permission for normal operation. Only grant the permissions required by the features your server uses.

2. Open Your Server Dashboard

Select Your Server

Open the Cross Bot Dashboard and select the Discord server you want to configure. Your dashboard provides access to Cross Lobby, Welcome & Leave, Saved Embeds, Moderation, Audit Logs, Games, and Server Settings.

Open Cross Bot Dashboard

3. Set Up Cross Lobby

Choose Your Cross Lobby Channel

From the server dashboard, open Cross Lobby, select the Discord channel you want connected to the Cross Network, keep the network set to Main Cross Network, then save the configuration.

Cross Lobby Channel Permissions

In the selected Cross Lobby channel, Cross Bot must be able to:

• View Channel

• Send Messages

• Manage Webhooks

4. Configure the Features You Want

You're Ready to Customize

After the basic setup is complete, you can configure additional Cross Bot features such as moderation, audit logs, welcome and leave messages, saved embeds, games, and other server tools from the dashboard.

Need Help?

If something is not working, join the official Cross Bot Discord and open a support ticket. Make sure to include the server name, feature you are configuring, and any error messages you receive.
